Coming Syrian Democratic Council conference to discuss participatory and governance, SDC official
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Riyad Dirar, co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), said on Sunday, “The National Conference for the People of the Jazira and the Euphrates”northern Syria will discuss the terms of the participatory and governance.
In an exclusive statement to North Press, Dirar said, “The conference will address underperformance and errors in some areas.”
“Political, social, and intellectual figures from outside the area are invited to on-line participation through Zoom App,” Dirar added.
“Those figures have different points of views and the discussion will be open to all,” he noted.
All important issues related to people’s life will be included in the conference agenda, according to Dirar.
In a previous statement to North Press, SDC co-chair Amina Omar, said, “The conference will be followed by AANES elections, the possibility of setting a new Charter of the Social Contract and changing the AANES structure.”
On November 25, the SDC will hold a conference that will be the outcome of the 13 previous symposiums.
The previous symposiums discussed the historical relations among the peoples of the region and their role in building the future of Syria, the importance of maintaining the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) project, and the challenges that it faced.
The symposiums included the intra-Syrian dialogue, whether with the opposition, or with the Syrian government, in addition to the intra-Kurdish dialogue.
