131 new infections, two deaths from coronavirus in Syria’s Autonomous Administration

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 131 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas on Wednesday. 

The AANES’ official Facebook account quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the new recorded infections were 82 males and 49 females.

In the Euphrates region, there were 57 recorded cases in Tabqa, 28 in Raqqa, 15 in Deir ez-Zor, 14 in Manbij, 12 in Kobani, and three in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where those displaced from Afrin by the Turkish invasion in 2018 reside.

There were also two cases in Qamishli, in the Jazira region, and according to the co-chair of the AANES Health Board, the death cases were of two men from the city of Hasakah.

The recovery of nine cases were also recorded, according to Mustafa.

The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 65 new coronavirus infections and four deaths in its areas on Tuesday.

According to the new the statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 5,841, including 149 dead and 839 recovered.
