Autonomous Administration records 161 new coronavirus infections and five deaths

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 161 new coronavirus infections and five deaths in its areas on Monday.

Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, declared that the death cases were of two men and a woman from the city of Kobani, and two women from Derik.

The AANES’ official Facebook account quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the new recorded infections were 83 males and 78 females.

In the Jazira region, the recorded infections were  35 in Derik, 27 in Qamishli, 25 in Hasakah, 5 in Derbasiya, four in Girke Lege, four in Amude, four in Tirbespi, one in Rimelan, and one in Til Tamr.

In the Euphrates region, there were recorded cases 17 in Tabqa, 17 in Manbij, 11 in Raqqa, and 10 in Kobani.

The recovery of 16 cases were also recorded, according to Mustafa.

The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 237 new coronavirus infections and three deaths in its areas on Saturday. 

According to the new the statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 5’645 , of which 143 died and 814 recovered.
