Turkey withdrew from another military point in northwestern Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Sources suggested that the Turkish forces will start, on Tuesday evening, to evacuate another military point in northwestern Syria, after its complete withdrawal from its largest military one in Hama governorate.
On Monday, Turkey completed the evacuation of its military point in Morek, in Hama countryside, which was besieged by the Syrian government forces less than a year ago.
A source of the National Front for Liberation group (a group affiliated with SNA) told North Press, about 100 vehicles, including empty trucks and military vehicles, arrived Sher Maghar point, west of Hama.
The source expected that the Turkish forces will start evacuating the point after completing the dismantling of the logistical equipment, hampers and concrete blocks inside the point.
On October 29, the Turkish soldiers started to dismantle their tenth military point in the village of Sher Maghar, in conjunction with the evacuation of the ninth point in the city of Morek.
Activists suggested that the Turkish forces withdrawing from Sher Maghar will be stationed in the town of al-Bara, south of Idlib which is adjacent to the front lines with the Syrian government forces in the city of Kafranbel.
In the recent period, Turkish points in the de-escalation zone witnessed several protests in which Syrian government loyalists demanded Turkey to leave.
In October 2017, Turkey started establishing military points in northwestern Syria after it reached an agreement with Russia to establish a de-escalation zone.
