SDF captures four ISIS sleeper cells members in Syria’s northeast of Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured, on Saturday, 4 members of the ISIS sleeper cells, including an emir, in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
The SDF Coordination and Military Operations Center said, the Special Forces carried out on Friday, two security operations, east of Hasakah.
The two operations resulted in the arrest of 4 members of ISIS sleeper cells, one of them was a former emir who was working on manufacturing explosive devices.
During the operation, the Special Forces confiscated weapons and military equipment.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Global Coalition forces to defeat ISIS.
On Thursday, the SDF announced the arrest of 3 members of the ISIS sleeper cells in the Hawl camp, east of Hasakah.
