Autonomous Administration ready for dialogue with Syrian opposition Coalition, SDC official
TABQA, Syria (North Press) – Ilham Ahmad, Head of the Executive Board of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), said on Tuesday that they are ready to start a dialogue with the Syrian opposition Coalition, and that they not only represented the Kurds, but all Syrian communities during the international meetings.
Ilham Ahmad made her statements after the symposium held by SDC on Tuesday in the city of Tabqa, northern Syria, with the participation of politicians and intellectuals, in addition to tribal sheikhs and social figures.
“We are ready for the dialogue, but the Syrian opposition Coalition does not have the decision to do so,” Ahmad said.
Turkey affects the decisions of the opposition Coalition and prevents them from starting a dialogue with SDC and the Autonomous Administration, according to Ahmad.
The symposium held in the city of Tabqa, is the seventh among a series of symposiums in the areas of north and east Syria.
Earlier, SDC held similar symposiums in the cities of Hasakah, Manbij, Kobani, and Raqqa, and their number is expected to reach 14.
“During the symposium, courageous ideas were presented through which they discussed the work of the Autonomous Administration, political situation and the security issues in north and east Syria,” Hikmat Habib, deputy head of the SDC Executive Board, told North Press.
“Those symposiums would continue throughout the Autonomous Administration areas, then a national conference would be held for the people of Jazira and the Euphrates in Deir ez-Zor,” Habib added.
The symposium included interventions by politicians and tribal figures regarding some problems that curbed the development of the Autonomous Administration’s work.
The symposiums are held under the title of Towards a National Conference for the People of Jazira and the Euphrates.
