Casualties in Israeli bombing of Syrian government sites in Damascus

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Israeli warplanes targeted sites of the Syrian government forces south of Damascus, resulting in deaths and injuries.

The Syrian government’s official news agency SANA said that two civilians were killed and seven members of the Syrian government forces were injured as a result of the strikes.

The agency added that the strikes targeted military sites south of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

SANA quoted a military source as saying that the air defense dropped most of the missiles before they reached their targets.

Damascus and areas in southern Syria have been subjected to repeated attacks over the past months, most recently on July 20 when Israel carried out raids on sites of the Syrian government and Iranian forces in Damascus.

On June 23, the Israeli air force targeted government forces and Iranian forces’ sites in four Syrian governorates in the center of the country, inflicting casualties.
