Unknown persons target vehicle in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor (North Press) – A civilian was killed and another injured on Monday evening as unknown persons targeted a vehicle in the center of the town of Shuhail in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east of Syria.
A source of the Internal Security Forces told North Press, unknown persons targeted a van in Shuhail, killing a civilian and injuring another inside.
The deceased was the owner of a bakery from the town of Abu Hardoub and was targeted by two persons who were riding a motorcycle, the source stated.
Earlier on Monday, the head of the Local Council of the town of Ziban, Ali al-Abed al-Huweidi, was injured after he was shot by unknown persons.
On August 22, the head of a commune (council of the neighborhood or village) in the village of al-Jemmah was killed by unknown individuals.
On August 23, the head of the Local Council of the town of Hajin was injured in a failed assassination attempt when a motorcycle bomb detonated near him.
