In the beginning of the current month, the United States of America deployed an aircraft carrier and B 52 fighter jets as well as a warship and anti-missile system. The United States justifies this step for the existence of “threats” from the Iranian side.
Iranian Foreign minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif described American decision of sending extra 1500 troops to the Middle East as “a danger on international peace and security”.
This statement delivered after American president’s announcement on Friday about sending military reinforcement to the Middle East.
According to the Pentagon, the United States is currently deploying 60.000 to 80.000 troops in the region. The Pentagon also talked about “ongoing threats from the Iranian side”.
“The reinforcement of the American existence in our region is dangerous and it is a threat to the international peace and security that must be faced.” Zarif said to Iranian official agency (IRNA).
Zarif replied to the American statements saying that: “The Americans are echoing these allegations in order to justify their hostile policy and to provoke tense” in the Gulf region.
