A Turkish political analyst said that Turkey's former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, by his new party (Future Party), wants to give a good image to the Syrian interior in particular and abroad in general, through a wide range of people, including the Syrians, as he indicated that the coming period will witness the formation of new political parties, which will affect the 2023 elections.
The Turkish political analyst, Bustan Jamil said in an interview with North-Press that Davutoglu wants his party to be consisting of a large segment of Kurds, Armenians and figures from the current ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), in addition to the importance of including Syrians, as he seeks to diversify the segment within the new party to address all parties.
The political analyst described the party's move as "smart", so that it delivers a good image to the Syrian inside and outside, noting the importance of the former president of the Syrian National Coalition (SNC), Khaled Khoja, to be one of the founding members of "Future" party. Jamil added: "With this step, other Syrians figures in Turkey who support the AKP could be engaged," explaining that "this will give a positive image of the party to the Syrians inside Turkey, which in turn will reflect positively on the party," he said.
Regarding forming the new party, Jamil explained that the previous period has witnessed major internal differences in the ruling party of Justice and Development in Turkey, which forced Davutoglu, who occupied the position of the foreign minister and then the prime minister of Turkey, to withdraw from the AKP and form the "future" party. He pointed that several personnel were in the Justice and Development Party such as former President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul and ministers in the party, however, they withdrew from AKP, because of internal problems.
The political analyst revealed that the coming period will witness the formation of other parties, after the withdrawal of ministers from the AKP, believing that the Turkish Minister of Finance and Economy will form another party. As the Turkish analyst reasons back the formation of these parties to "the differences and contradictions in the political and economic opinions within the Justice and Development Party, which led Davutoglu, and in the coming period Ali Baba Jan, to form two new political parties, which will have a major impact in weakening the AKP, and thus the Turkish President Erdogan, especially in the upcoming presidential elections in 2023," he referred.
Among the most important goals of the party is to work on an economic program for the country and establish good relations with the neighboring countries, which was contrary to the policy of the Justice and Development Party, according to Jamil.
He pointed that AKP faces a big problem in the economy, which is on its way to the worst, in addition to the problem of unemployment, international relations and several other problems, including the party's members are opposed to Erdogan's policies, they even cannot discuss the orders that he issues.
Moreover, the Turkish analyst Bustan Jamil explained that "the Turkish street is waiting for what is new from this party and perhaps Baba Jan’s party, as the latter was the minister of the Turkish economy, where the economy was in a very good state, as he is supposed to present a program to improve the Turkish economy, mechanisms and procedures that will take place in the upcoming days," he said.
Jamil at the end of his interview with North-Press, believes that the important thing in these parties embodied in weakening the Justice and Development Party, especially as the country is up to an electoral phase in 2023.
