Civilian casualties due to Turkish airstrike on Sulaymaniyah, northern Iraq

A number of civilians were killed and others injured as a result of Turkish airstrike on Sulaymaniyah province, in Iraqi Kurdistan region on Thursday evening.

 

“Turkish warplanes bombarded Kunamasi park, northeastern Sulaymaniyah,” eyewitnesses told North Press reporter.

 

“Three civilians were killed at least due to the bombardment,” they added. 

 

On the 19th of this month, Turkish warplanes raided the regions of Sheladezi and Kani-Masi in Duhok province which led to the killing of 5 civilians. 

 

Based on these events, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the ambassadors of both Turkey and Iran, abd handed them a strong note of protest.
