The Syrian Democratic Forces capture a lord of the Islamic State organization in Deir Ez-Zur

Special forces in  The Syrian Democratic Forces “SDF”, with the participation of an international coalition team on May the9th  in the town of Al-Shuhail , south countryside of Deir Ez-Zur, carried out an operation against one of the heads of the Islamic State Organization “IS”, operating secretly, in the region within sleeper cells of “IS”

The Syrian Democratic Forces, after clashes with several members of the organization’s armed sleeper cells, managed to capture the Syrian “Ali Abu Baraa “, who was responsible of purchasing weapons and explosives for the organization. According to military sources told North Press.

  

The clashes resulted in the killing and injuring of a number of the armed cells in the organization, amid the imposition of a security cordon in The region by the Syrian Democratic Forces fighters.

The Syrian Democratic Forces “SDF” control areas faces a great danger of the Islamic State sleeper cells targeting vital and military objects, as well as blowing up the main roads with landmines.

On the 23rd of March, The international coalition-backed “SDF”  announced  the end of the military presence of the militants of the “Islamic State” in the  east of the Euphrates areas, since then the organization has relied on its sleeper cells in the implementation of assassinations and bombings in the region.
