A Syrian government forces bombardment on the de-escalation zones have violated the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement since last night.
Three Turkish soldiers were wounded, according to a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Defense after the targeting of the 10th observation point in town “Shir-Maghar” in Shashabo Mountain, while equipment and other supplies were partially damaged.
The shelling coincided with Turkish military vehicles heading from the observation post in Eshtabraq, Jisr al-Shughur countryside, western Idlib, towards Shir Maghar point.
While Reconnaissance aircraft and warplanes were seen soaring in the airspace of Idlib and its surroundings, amid fears by the residents expressed to North-Press, about the development of the situation in the coming hours, along with the rejection of some of the armed opposition groups the truce which has been in force since hours.
While “North-Press” has spotted bombings by Syrian Government Forces on Moqa town southern countryside of Idlib, killing at least three persons, and wounding others with varying severity wounds.
This is the second round of bombing on the de-escalation zones after about 12 hours of the Russian-Turkish agreement on a ceasefire, as the areas of Latmeen, Kafr Zita, Alamerea, Zaizoun and Khan-Shaykhun in southern Idlib and Al-Ghab Plain were subjected to artillery shelling, and missiles by the government forces on Thursday morning.
The shelling caused fires in public and private properties in the town of Hass, southern countryside of Idlib.
While calmness returned to the governorates of Idlib, Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia after witnessing a major escalation since last April until a ceasefire was reached on Wednesday night.
The head of the Russian Center for reconciliation in Syria, Major General Viktor Kupchishin said: “With the mediation of Russia and Turkey, an agreement was reached on a complete ceasefire in the entire Idlib’s de-escalation zone from June 12, 2019,”
Kupchishin continued: “As a result, we’ve recorded a significant reduction in the number of attacks carried out by the illegal armed groups in the region.
