At least 12 people were killed and 15 were injured in the village of al-Wadihi, southern Aleppo, under the Syrian government control, after a missile attack targeted a wedding party in the village, upon mutual shelling and bombardments by Syrian forces and the armed opposition groups in the southern countryside of Aleppo last night.
The Syrian Government Forces accused the opposition groups of targeting the village, while the latter denied its responsibility for the shelling on the mentioned village, accusing the government forces of targeting the area to increase tensions and to justify its bombing on the de-escalation zones.
The shelling was followed by attacks by the Syrian government forces on areas of Tal-Bager, Mariouda and Makhala southern Aleppo, causing material damages without any casualties.
While the Turkish Ministry of Defense mentioned in a statement on Sunday, that their forces have reacted to sources of fire that targeted their observation point, by shelling the Syrian Government positions in Hama countryside, and denied any casualties.
Ankara has accused the Syrian government forces of “The deliberate attacks on the Turkish observation posts, while some equipment and facilities in the posts were damaged, noting that they are communicating with the Russian side to make the necessary initiatives while maintaining the situation in the region.”
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated on Friday, “The regime would attack Idlib using the excuse of the radical groups’ presence after sending them there”.
