Mutual heavy shelling between the Syrian government and opposition forces in Hama

The Syrian government forces renewed its aerial and ground bombardment on the de-escalation zones northwestern Syria, while the opposition armed groups targeted the western countryside of Hama, killing and wounding children and women. 

North-Press correspondent indicated the resumption of the Syrian fighter jets of hitting the areas of Khan Shaykhun, Me’aret Hurmah, Heish, Babulin, Karsaa, Kansafra, Midaya and Rakaya in the southern countryside of Idlib. 

The Syrian government forces also targeted with artillery shells the areas of Al-Mashayek, Jib Suleiman, Shahranaz, Al-Ziyara, Al-Qarqor and Abu Ra’eida in Al-Ghab plain, in north-western countryside of Hama.  

While the opposition armed groups targeted the areas of Al-Raseef and Al-Aziziya west of Hama, killing two children and wounding others, and causing material damage in the area. 

In a related context, a woman lost her life and others were wounded by opposition armed groups shelling on the western neighborhoods of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, the Syrian government helicopters targeted some locations in Kabbanah, Muhammad Anwar, a media activist told “North-Press” about the intensive shelling on Jabal Al-Akrad and Jabal Al-Turkman in the countryside of Latakia by saying: “The air raids will not stop as the hills of Kabbanah are being targeted on a daily basis, where the escalation happens after the attacks of the factions.”  

On the other hand, a statement was issued by the General Staff of Turkey said that the Chief of Staff Yasar Gular and his Russian counterpart Valery Gerasimov exchanged views on several issues concerning Syria through a phone call, including the necessary procedures to be taken for stabilization in the de-escalation zones in Idlib.
