The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michele Bachelet condemned on Friday the “international indifferentism” towards the increase of civilian casualties due to the heavy airstrikes in northwestern Syria region.

Bachelet said the latest wave of airstrikes had targeted “medical facilities, schools and other civilian infrastructures such as markets and bakeries.”

She added: “These properties are civilians’, it seems they did not care because such patterns of attacks are still going on,”stressing that “Intentional attacks against civilians are a war crime and are ordered or carried out by a criminal official.”

In the same context, the Syrian government fighter jets have carried out a raid on the city of Saraqeb, targeting a vegetable market with two rockets, a civilian was killed, nine others were injured, in addition to damage of civilian properties of vegetables, cars and construction, while the market is considered a major market for providing the eastern countryside of Idlib with vegetables.

Syrian government fighter jets also targeted the village of Al-Bawabiya in the southern countryside of Aleppo with barrel bombs, a civilian was killed while many others were injured.
