Security Forces dismantle a remote-controlled mine in Hasakah southern countryside

A source from Internal Security Forces (Asayish) told North-Press that their forces managed to dismantle a remote-controlled mine on Deir ez-Zor – Marqada highway south of Hasakah, on Friday afternoon, after reports about a strange object next to the highway.

The mine was equipped with the technology of mobile connection, and is programed to explode by contacting the mobile phone which were set on the mine, according to the source.

It is noteworthy that the areas of Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor are witnessing terrorist operations by Islamic State (IS) sleeper cells as bombing motorcycles, VBIEDs and mines, in addition to the implementation of assassinations in different areas in north and eastern Syria.
