Counter-Terrorism Units arrest ISIS financial official in Deir ez-Zor

Counter-Terrorism Units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have arrested on Sunday the head of the financial services of the Islamic State’s sleeper cells in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
In a statement which was published today on its official website, the Counter-Terrorism Units said that they had carried out an operation against an ISIS sleeper cell in Deir ez-Zor, targeting a number of ISIS leaders, where they arrested the group’s financial official in the region, who is called “Muhammad Ramadan Eid al-Atallah”. 
A number of weapons, ammunition and some of the group’s documents with a sum of money were confiscated, according to the statement.  
It is noteworthy that the Counter-Terrorism Forces (HAT) of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in north and east of Syria, in cooperation with the U.S. special forces have arrested on Sunday’s early morning four members of ISIS sleeper cells in the village of Jamous, in the town of Soluk on the Syrian-Turkish borders, a town that falls within the proposed safe zone in northern Syria.
The HAT, SDF, and YPG forces, in cooperation with the Global Coalition forces, are conducting security operations and arrests campaigns in various areas in north and east of Syria in search of ISIS sleeper cells, while the area is witnessing car bombings or booby-traps from time to time, most of which are adopted by the terrorist Islamic State group.
