Israel aims to fail the Iranian plans in Syria and Iraq – Security analyst

Northern Syria – North-Press Agency

Iraqi security expert Fadil Abu Ragheef said that the strikes that hit the Syrian border town of Albukamal are Israeli’s, where it seeks to spread concerns in the Syrian-Iraqi borders triangle and prevent Iran of benefiting from its activities in the region.

Abu Ragheef said: “Since then, I’ve noted that they were Israeli airstrikes based on accurate information about Israel’s targeting of sites believed that they belong to Iran”.

He explained that the 19 strikes conduct in Iraq, the 32 strikes conduct in Syria and the 6 strikes carried out in Lebanon are likely to be raised.

According to the Israelis, these strikes are targeting the infrastructure of Iran in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon; which the security analyst sees as a curtailment to the ability of Iran, its branches, proxies and supporters.

He added: “Striking the positions of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) inside Iraq is a violation of the Iraqi sovereignty because the PMF is part of the legal mobilization system”.

Regarding the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Raghef said: “They don’t possess sophisticated or strategic weapons, but possess primitive combat weapons, adopting the method of war among buildings and the tactics of hit-and-run, so that Israel intervenes in a pragmatic random way”.

He pointed out that the strikes on Iranian positions only affect Iran’s ability in the region, but it will not end Iran’s presence because of its many supporters.

He stressed that there is a semi-settlement between Israel and Russia, this semi-agreement deprived Iran of controlling the port of Latakia, which is the end of the rail link between Iran, Iraq and Syria.

Abu Ragheef believes that Russia depends on China and trusts it more than Iran, in addition, that there is a tension between Russia and Iran, caused by Israeli decisions and influences on one hand, and on the other hand, Israel wants to spread concerns in the Iraqi-Syrian border triangle.

“This tension and concern is aimed at confusing the Iranian side through its military, economic, commercial, strategic and oil presence,  and of course, there is a categorical reaction by Israel”, according to Fadil Abu Ragheef.
