Assassination operations increase during the last 24 hours in Daraa
Assassination operations continue in the governorate of Daraa, southern Syria, targeting more pro-Syrian government figures and others of the armed opposition groups who had earlier made compromises with the Syrian government.
As Daraa governorate has witnessed three assassination operations and another attempted murder in the last 24 hours.
According to pro-Syrian opposition social media accounts, the operations were carried out with light weapons and explosive devices, claiming the life of three people and injuring three others.
One of the operations targeted a member of the Lebanese Hezbollah forces in the town of al-Hrak, east of Daraa, killing him along with his brother, and wounding two other members of the same family, after being shot by unknown persons.
Moreover, a member of the Fifth Corps of the Syrian army was killed, where his body was found nearby al-Bahar cemetery in Daraa al-Balad in the old part of the city of Daraa, as the body bore gunshot wounds.
While the third operation embodied in an attempt to assassinate a former member of the Court of Justice, by an explosive device which targeted his car on the road between the town of Tal Shehab and the village of Nahj, causing minor injuries to him.
Daraa governorate is going through a state of insecurity, as assassination and theft actions continue, while residents fear further deterioration of the situation as government forces have failed to reduce or prevent such murders, attempted killings and chaos.
