A quick joint Russian-Turkish patrol in the in Derbasiya

North-Press has learned that the Turkish patrol has returned to the Turkish side, after a quick patrol in the villages located in the western countryside of the town of Derbasiya, in the area between Derbasiya and Ras al-Ain (Sere-Kaniye), northeastern Syria.

The patrol, which took place on Thursday morning, entered from Shereke crossing, west of Derbasiya, and headed towards the villages of Bir Kenis, Talek, Berkefri, Qaramania and Ghanameiya, and then entered back through the crossing into the Turkish side, close to the village of Jattal.

The patrol was accompanied by two helicopters flying in the airspace of the area, while local sources confirmed to North-Press that the patrol rolled in these areas quickly at a depth of less than 7km.

It is noteworthy that this patrol is the sixth joint Russian-Turkish one, which being conducted in northeastern Syria, following a Russian-Turkish agreement to conduct patrols in the region periodically.
