Aerial and ground bombardment target Assyrian villages north of Tal Tamr

Ongoing attacks launched by Turkish military and the affiliated Syrian armed opposition groups, mostly Islamist militias under the umbrella of “Syrian National Army”, on areas and villages in northern Tal Tamr countryside, northeastern Syria, amid fierce clashes and airstrikes by the Turkish drones.

The villages of Daoudia and al-Arisha in northern Tal Tamr countryside are witnessing fierce clashes between the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF, the Syriac Military Council on one hand, and the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups on the other.

According to local sources to North-Press, the areas of Tal Taweel, Daweya, Azizia and the surrounding fields in the same countryside witnessed heavy clashes between the two sides, the clashes resulted in the destruction of an armored vehicle for the armed groups in the village of Aziziya and the death of several others.

North-Press reported also an attack by the Turkish drones which targeted several villages, including al-Mahmudiya, al-Rihaniya, Amiriya, Arbeen, Faisaliya and Kinher.

The Turkish air strikes coincided with bombardment targeted these villages by artillery shells, in order to advance further towards the town of Tal Tamr.

The aircraft continued to fly in the airspace of Abu Rasin (Zargan) and the town of Tal Tamr, while the airspace of the town witnessed the flight of two helicopters, most likely belonging to the U.S.-Global Coalition forces.
