Turkish-backed armed groups target Manbij countryside

Manbij – North-Press Agency

Areas in Manbij countryside, which is under the control of Manbij Military Council are being targeted by Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.
The attack was carried out by artillery and rocket-propelled grenades, targeting the villages of Um Jalloud and Um Adasah in the northwestern countryside of Manbij, northeastern Aleppo.

Local sources confirmed to North-Press that there were no casualties as a result of this bombing during last night hours, as the Turkish-backed armed groups “Euphrates Shield” renewed their shelling on the area.

It is noteworthy that the countryside of Manbij witnessed the deployment of the Syrian government forces in positions along the dividing line with the Turkey’s controlled area after the Turkish military invasion, supported by armed opposition groups in northeastern Syria, which resulted in their control over areas of Ras al-Ain (Sere-Kaniye), Tal Abyad (Gire Spi) and the countryside of Tal Tamr.
