Renewed shelling targets Afrin countryside and northern Aleppo by Turkey’s armed groups

The Turkish-backed armed opposition groups continue shelling more areas of Afrin and Aleppo northern countryside, where tens of thousands of displaced people from Afrin, in the far northwest of Syria reside. As Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, stationed in Azaz and Basouta in Sherawa district of Afrin, targeted areas of Sharawa, Oqeiba, Abin, Sughanka and Shuargha, with no information regarding human casualties.

While "Afrin Liberation Forces" have responded with several shells targeting the outskirts of the village of Maryamin, which is controlled by the armed groups.

 

Moreover, the villages of Harbel and Sheikh-Issa were subjected to ground bombardment from Turkish affiliated opposition groups-held areas, coinciding with targeting of the town of Tal Rifaat in Aleppo northern countryside, no human casualties were reported.

Furthermore, an explosion occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the city of Afrin, targeting "al-Siyasiya" street in the city center. The explosion was carried out by placing a bag containing explosives in the trunk of a taxi, which was stopped in al-Siyasiya Street in Afrin city by a bystander, resulted in injuring several people.
