The sixth Russian-Turkish joint military patrol in Kobani countryside has ended after it had moved for more than an hour in the villages of eastern countryside of the city of Kobani, despite the rainy weather.
The patrol, consisting of four Turkish military vehicles and a similar number of the Russian vehicles was set out from the village of Gharib, some 15 km to the east of Kobani, at 9:15 am this morning.
The patrol headed east passing through the villages of Karamug, Jaishan, Itoeran Tahtani, Kharabisan Tahtani, to the villages of the western Tal-Abyad countryside, Baghdik, Bandarkhan, Khaneh. Then the patrol ended in the village of Serzouri, and returned into the village of Gharib. The Turkish vehicles went back to their territories via the crossing near the village of Gharib.
It's noteworthy that the fifth joint patrol was conducted in Kobani’s western countryside on 17 December, starting from the village of Ashma, west of Kobani 20 km, and headed west Passing through the villages (Jareqli, Jebnah, Bayadiya), all the way to the village of Zor-Maghar, located on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, adjacent to the town of Jarablus.
The previous patrols witnessed widespread popular disapproval in the villages of eastern Kobani countryside, where the Turkish military vehicles were thrown at by stones and shoes, amid attempts to prevent the completion of their routes, in refusal of their presence and in response to the Turkish military invasion in north-eastern Syria.
