The seventh joint Russian-Turkish military patrol ended today in Kobani countryside, after roaming the villages of Kobani’s western countryside, for about two hours. The patrol, the second of its kind in the western countryside of the city, started from the village of "Ashma", 20km west of Kobani, on Thursday 10:00 a.m., after being delayed for about an hour due to the bad weather conditions.

The patrol consisted of 4 Turkish military vehicles and four Russian vehicles, as it headed west through the villages of Jareqli Fawqani, Jebna, Bayadiya, all the way to the village of Zor Maghar, opposite to the town of Jarablus. The patrol returned, thereafter, to its starting point in the village of "Ashma", after passing through the villages of "Qaran, Dikmdash, Seilim, Boban, Saftak" and reaching the checkpoint of Asayish near al-Iza'a area, west of Kobani.

Furthermore, the villages of Seilim and Dikmdash witnessed firing tear gas by the Turkish forces against local protesters from the area, who protested the roaming of the patrol in their villages, that caused some cases of suffocation, while the locals expressed their refusal by throwing stones at the Turkish military vehicles.

It is noteworthy that the sixth Turkish-Russian joint patrol was conducted in the eastern countryside of Kobani, on the 26th of last December, starting from the village of Gharib, 15 km east of Kobani.
