In the early morning hours on Monday, violent clashes took place between Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in Idlib countryside, northwest of Syria, amid mutual artillery shelling.

The clashes took place in the Kafr Nabl area in the southern Idlib countryside, in conjunction with mutual artillery shelling on the area.

Yesterday, Sunday, Syrian government forces bombed the areas of al-Barah, al-Fatira, and Sufuhon in the southern countryside of Idlib.

This comes while Russian reconnaissance aircraft continue, since yesterday, to fly in the airspace of the de-escalation zones in Idlib, according to a field source in the region.

However, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the agreed ceasefire in the de-escalation zones has entered its 39th day, in the absence of Russian and Syrian warplanes and Turkish military drones.
