In the past 72 hours, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) captured four members of the Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cells in Deir ez-Zor province during two missions with air support by the U.S.-led Global Coalition.

A military source from the Syrian Democratic Forces told North-Press that special units from the SDF, with air support from the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, carried out two operations against ISIS sleeper cells, where four members were arrested east and north Deir ez-Zor province, in northeastern Syria.

The source pointed out that the four arrested members are being investigated, "to obtain more information about ISIS cells operating in Deir ez-Zor, south of Hasakah and the rest of the northeast of Syria."

On April 8th, the Counter-Terrorism Forces (HAT) of the Syrian Democratic Forces, with the participation of forces from the Global Coalition, arrested Muhammad Rashid Diyab, the "Emir" of the so-called "Health Bureau" in the Islamic State, according to what an informed source told North-Press."

The activity of ISIS members has recently increased in many areas of northern Syria, and Syria in general, where the Manbij Military Council announced last week that it killed a foreign national member of the organization, who was in the process of carrying out a terrorist attack in the city of Manbij after entering from Turkish-controlled areas in northern Syria."

Last Thursday, ISIS took control of areas in the eastern countryside of Homs (Syrian al-Badia) after clashes with Syrian government forces. The next day, Syrian government forces regained control of the area.
