On Monday, clashes took place between Turkish forces and local protesters on the M4 highway, where opposition groups and residents of Idlib province in northwest of Syria still protest in two of the three points of the sit-ins to prevent the passage of the joint Russian-Turkish patrol on the highway.
A field source told North-Press that clashes took place between Turkish forces present in the al-Nairab area to break up the sit-ins, armed opposition groups and residents of Idlib, as Turkish forces responded to the protests of the opposition groups and the locals.
The source added that Turkish forces designated to break up the sit-ins on the M4 highway, "are mostly Syrian nationals who had joined the Turkish forces, and they are the same who forcefully responded to the protesters," according to the source.
Earlier today, on Monday, Turkish forces forcibly removed the sit-in point near the town of al-Nairab on a distance of about 800 meters from among the three protest points located on the M4 highway, in southern Idlib province.
