Ongoing violations and mutual bombing between government forces and opposition groups in Idlib

On Wednesday-Thursday midnight, the Syrian government forces targeted areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, in conjunction with the response by Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, targeting the area of Maarat al-Numan, amid flights of Russian reconnaissance aircraft.
Syrian government forces' artillery targeted positions of Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in the areas of al-Bara and al-Fatira in the southern countryside of Idlib, without information regarding casualties, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Meanwhile, armed opposition groups responded to the bombing by targeting positions of the government forces in the city of Maarat al-Numan with several shells.
While Russian reconnaissance aircraft continue flying in the airspace of Idlib province in the northwest of Syria.
Clashes also took place yesterday, on Wednesday, between the Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in al-Barah, Jabal al-Zawiya, in conjunction with mutual artillery shelling, as government forces shelled the areas of al-Barah, Fleifel, and Hazarin in the southern countryside of Idlib.
The violations occur as the cease-fire enters the 4th day in a row in the de-escalation zones in the north-west of Syria.
