Two members of Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah killed in an ISIS attack in Deir ez-Zor countryside

On Thursday, the Islamic State group (ISIS) launched an attack on positions of the Kata'ib Hezbollah (Iraqi Shia paramilitary group, part of the Popular Mobilization Forces PMF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, northeastern Syria, killing two members of them.
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated that ISIS launched violent attack on the Iraqi Kata'ib Hezbollah positions in the area of Badiyat al-Mayadeen in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where violent clashes took place between the two groups, killing two members of the Iraqi Hezbollah and injuring others.
After that, members of the “Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps” and the Syrian government-affiliated “National Defense” sent military reinforcements to the area.
On April 4, while searching for truffle, ISIS sleeper cells executed 8 civilians from the Ma’adan area in the southeastern countryside of Raqqa, in the countryside of al-Tabani in the northwestern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
ISIS militants also executed many civilians more than once, while grazing and collecting truffles in the countryside of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and Homs, in addition to targeting vehicles belonging to Syrian government forces.
In the recent period, ISIS launched attacks, bombings and ambushes in the west of the Euphrates, the desert areas of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, Homs, and al-Suwayda, as quoted by the SOHR.
