The Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region held the two guarantor countries, the US and Russia, responsible for the Turkish drone attack on a center of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the city of Kobani in northern Syria.

On Tuesday morning, a Turkish drone targeted an Internal Security Forces (Asayish) center in the city of Kobani with two missiles, causing material damage.

Mohamad Shaheen, co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, told North-Press that the Turkish attacks did not stop on areas in northeastern Syria, especially on the border strip from which the SDF withdrew based on the agreement between the Russian guarantor and the Turkish side on the one hand, and the agreement between the United States and Turkey on a cease-fire and no expansion in northeastern Syria on the other.

Shaheen held the guarantor countries responsible for the ongoing attacks on northern and eastern Syria by pro-Turkish militants or Turkish forces.

Shaheen clarified that the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region asked Russia to clarify its stance on the attack, pointing out that the Russians denied that the attack took place with their knowledge, pledging to clarify their stance after the completion of investigations and that the administration will receive a Russian response within the coming hours.

Shaheen pointed out that a delegation from the Russian side visited the targeted site and recorded their observations.

For his part, Bozan Khalil, co-chair of the Interior Ministry in the Euphrates region, pointed out that a delegation from the Russian military promised to clarify their stance to the public opinion regarding the accident in the coming hours after they visited the site of the bombing this morning.

On Tuesday, the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates region held a press conference at its headquarters in the city of Kobani, in which it appealed to international powers, especially the US and Russia, to carry out their responsibility regarding Turkish attacks on the area targeting civilians.

In the press conference, Shaheen said that the responsibility lies on the Russians, because their forces are present in the region in order to prevent such attacks, especially since there are no SDF forces in the area.
