On Saturday, dozens of trucks loaded with weapons and ammunition arrived at the Qasrak base (20km east of Tal Tamr in the Hasakah countryside) of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.

The convoy, composed of about 30 large trucks, arrived from a Global Coalition base in Shaddadi, eastern Syria, according to what security sources told North-Press.

This comes at a time when the Coalition forces continue to support the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in hunting down ISIS sleeper cells, in conjunction with the arrival of military reinforcements from the Global Coalition to its bases in North and East Syria.

After US President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw forces from Syria at the end of last year, news spread about Global Coalition forces’ intent to withdraw from the Qasrak base, but coalition forces have maintained their presence at the base.
