On Sunday, the town of Tal Tamr, 40km north of Hasakah, witnessed a state of tension between Russian and American forces and a flight of American aircraft, in conjunction with a regular patrol of Russian forces on the front lines in the town's countryside.

This comes after US forces and Russian military police clashed in the countryside of Qamishli yesterday, Saturday, after the latter prevented the passage of an American patrol from crossing to the eastern side of the city of Qamishli while an American patrol prevented Russian armored vehicles from trying to enter the oil town of Remailan.

Today, Sunday, two US helicopters flew over the Tal Tamr area for more than an hour as its forces were deployed on the main roads.

A military source told North-Press that the M4 highway did not witness the passage of Russian patrols today, while a patrol was conducted along the road linking Tal Tamr and the town of Zargan in the north, roaming the front lines between government forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.

Dozens of trucks loaded with ammunition and weapons arrived yesterday, Saturday, at the Qasrak base (20km east of Tal Tamr in the Hasakah countryside) of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.

It is noteworthy that the region did not witness clashes between US and Russian forces on main roads recently, in accordance with an agreement between the two parties, according to what Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS spokesperson Colonel Myles Caggins told North-Press earlier.
