Turkish bombardment of villages in Tal Abyad countryside amid drones flying overhead

On Sunday night, Turkish forces and their armed opposition groups bombed villages in the countryside of the city of Tal Abyad, without no information about civilian casualties.

 

A local source told North-Press that the villages of Avdike, Kobarlik, Sileibi, and Qarfli, south of the city of Tal Abyad (Gre-Spi) were subjected to artillery and mortar bombardment late Sunday night. The source did not provide any information on civilian casualties, injuries, or material losses.

 

The source said that Turkish drones flew continuously through the night over the sky of Ein Issa and the city of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa.

 

On Sunday morning, Turkish forces repeatedly targeted villages in Afrin and Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo with heavy weapons, causing material damage to civilian property.

 

A North-Press reporter stated that Turkish forces bombed the villages of Abeen, Deir Jamal, and Soghana of the Shirawa district to the southeast of Afrin, and also bombed the villages of al-Malikiya, Shawargha, and Maraanaz of the Sharran district, east of Afrin, with heavy weapons yesterday morning.

 

The shelling hit the villages of Sheikh Issa and Kashtar, near the city of Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo, causing material damage to civilians’ property.
