Second joint Russian-Turkish patrol in Idlib, 50 days after the first

On Tuesday, Russian and Turkish forces conducted a joint patrol on the M4 highway, more than fifty days after the start of the first patrol.

The Russian and Turkish forces carried out a joint patrol on the Aleppo-Latakia highway, also known as the M4, which started from the town of Tarnaba west of Saraqib, and ended in the village of Masibin, east of the town of Ariha.

Russian and Turkish vehicles passed from the town of Neirab, which was the site of a sit-in protest by local residents and Idlib IDPs against the passage of Russian-Turkish patrols since March 13th.

On Friday, for unknown reasons, Turkish and Russian forces halted a joint patrol on the M4 which was scheduled to arrive in al-Neirab.

One of the conditions of the ceasefire agreement reached by the Russian and Turkish presidents on the fifth of last March is the conduct of joint patrols between the two parties.
