Russian and Turkish forces conduct 17th joint patrol in Kobani

On Thursday, Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with the Turkish military in the eastern countryside of Kobani. The joint patrol is the 17th between the two sides in the region, the second during the month of Ramadan, and the fifth during the lockdown in the Euphrates region.

 

 The patrol, consisting of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles and accompanied by two Russian helicopters, started from the village of Gharib, 15km east of Kobani, passing the villages of Qara Mogh, Jishan, Kharabisan Fawqani, and Baghdik up to the village of Bandarakhan / Khanna in the western countryside of Tal Abyad / Gre-Spi .

 

The patrol returned from Bandarakhan / Khana village, taking the same road to the village of Gharib, where the military vehicles entered Turkish territory through the gate near the village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their center in the al-Izaa area west of Kobani.

 

Earlier, on the 27th of April, Russian and Turkish forces conducted the 16th joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani city, starting from the village of Ashma 20km west of the city.
