On Saturday, violent clashes broke out between the Turkish-backed groups Hamza Division and Levant Front, following new disputes over smuggling operations in Aleppo countryside, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides.
A media activist told North-Press that the Levant Front intercepted trucks carrying commercial goods smuggled into areas controlled by Syrian government forces under the protection of the Hamza Division via the village of al-Sukkaria in eastern Aleppo countryside, resulting in disputes that evolved into clashes and casualties between the two sides.
The activist pointed out that the battles focused on al-Muhallaq front and al-Marwaha roundabout, up to the Qabasin junction and the Bazzaa roundabout in the city of al-Bab, indicating that civilians evacuated the area after the casualties.
The village of al-Sukkaria east of al-Bab, which borders areas controlled by Syrian government forces, witnesses constant smuggling operations for commercial goods by groups affiliated with the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army.
