Syrian government exchanges prisoners with National Front for Liberation in Idlib

.On Monday, Syrian government forces exchanged a number of prisoners with the National Front for Liberation (a Turkish-backed Syrian opposition coalition) in Idlib countryside

 

In Taftanaz region, northeastern countryside of Idlib, the National Front for Liberation handed a member of the government forces, who had been captured during the recent clashes in Idlib countryside, and a woman who had been captured by the National Front months before in charge of dealing and communicating with the government forces. Also, the government forces received the bodies of two members of the Iranian forces – which are fighting along with the government forces – who had been killed in Idlib's eastern countryside, according to a field source requested not to be named.

 

Government forces handed overthree members of the National Front for Liberation who had been captured earlier in battles in Aleppo southern countryside. According to the field source, the members of the National Front were captured by Iranian forces, which are fighting along with the government forces.

 

The process of exchange was achieved last Saturday between the government forces and Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), when government forces received two of its members and handed four to HTS.
