SDF arrest three ISIS members involved in assassinations

Yesterday, Thursday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested three members of Islamic State (ISIS) cells in the town of al-Shehail in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

A field source from the SDF told North-Press that counterterrorism units were able to arrest three members of ISIS cells after a raid in al-Shehail town in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The source added that the captured militants were involved in the assassination of SDF members earlier, pointing out that the operation was carried out with the participation of the Global Coalition forces.

It indicated that they were able to find weapons and technical equipment that were held by the cells.

Earlier, on Sunday, the SDF arrested a number of cells and leaders of ISIS, who were in possession of weapons and military equipment, during the operation in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, with air support from the Global Coalition Against Daesh.
