4 dead, 16 wounded in IED explosion targeting pro-government militia bus, Daraa, Syria

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Four people were killed and 16 were wounded in an IED explosion targeting a bus belonging to the Fifth Legion as it was passing by the town of Kahil, east of Daraa, on Saturday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The Fifth Legion, a pro-government militia formed by the Russian forces, includes former fighters from armed opposition groups, who made reconciliations with the Syrian government forces.

The number of attacks and assassination attempts by IEDs, mines, VBIEDs and shootings carried out by armed individuals increased during the period from June 2019 until now, reaching more than 517. The number of those killed in these attempts during the same period reached 337, according to the SOHR.
