'America and Russia must stop Turkey's violations' – SDF Commander Abdi

NORTHEASTERN SYRIA – (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commander-in-chief Mazloum Abdi called on the United States and Russia to stop Turkish violations of the October 17 and 22 agreements signed between Turkey and the two respective countries to stop attacks on North and East Syria.

"Stopping Turkish violations and the policy of ethnic cleansing is the responsibility and duty of America and Russia, within the framework of the October agreements last year and international law."

Abdi referred to the Turkish drone strike on the village of Helinj, east of Kobani, on Tuesday on Twitter.

Abdi mentioned the assassination of female activists and the targeting of civilian homes in Kobani and the village of Helinj, which occurred on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the ISIS massacre in 2015, in which 271 children, women, and elderly people were killed in a continuation of the policy of massacres against the Kurds.

The Turkish drone strike on the village of Helinj killed four women, including a feminist activist.

Hundreds of Qamishli residents staged a sit-in in front of the United Nations building on Wednesday, condemning the Turkish bombing of Kobani, where a number of women's organizations and institutions operating in northeastern Syria participated in the sit-in.
