Causalities, injuries in explosion in Syria’s Afrin

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – A bomb exploded on Sunday in Afrin in Syria’s northwest, killing one and injuring two.

Local sources told North Press that an explosive device exploded inside a military vehicle, near a headquarters and a prison of the Turkish-backed opposition group al-Hamzat, resulting in the death of the driver and two critical injuries who were inside the vehicle.

On Friday, an explosive device blew up in Ashrafia district, wounding at least two people. On June 24th at least seven were injured in a motorcycle explosion in Mahmoudia district.

On June 20th a VIBED blew up near a bakery, causing four injuries, including two children.

Afrin has been witnessing security chaos such as kidnapping, theft, and murder, which has led to the death and injury of dozens of residents there, since Turkey and its affiliated opposition groups took control of Afrin on March 18, 2018.
