Unidentified aircraft target Turkish-backed opposition groups in northeastern Syria

SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified aircraft targeted Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in the countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad (Gre-Spi) on Monday, though the damage caused is still unclear.

An unidentified aircraft targeted a military point belonging to a Turkish-backed armed opposition group in the village of Abu Shakhat in the countryside of Sere Kaniye, according to a local source.

The sources did not mention any information about causalities or damages.

Turkish-backed opposition groups mentioned that an unidentified plane targeted the town of Hamam Turkman in the south of Tel Abyad.

Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups took control of the cities of Sere Kaniye and Tel Abyad and their surrounding countrysides in October of 2019. Since this time, residents in the region have reported many human rights abuses, including theft, looting, assault, kidnapping and murder.
