Syrian opposition foreign commander killed in drone strike in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A drone suspected to be linked to the US-led Global Coalition against the Islamic State (ISIS) targeted a car carrying a Syrian opposition foreign commander in Syria’s Turkish-held northwestern province of Idlib, local sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said the drone bombed the car in the town of Sarmada in Idlib countryside and killed all its passengers.

The car belongs to an Asian nationality commander who is within the ranks of the opposition groups in the Idlib region, security sources said.

Two months ago, three militants were killed in a bombing targeted a military vehicle on the road between the town of Bennesh and the city of Idlib.

A US-led Global Coalition drone also targeted a car near the Shu’ayb Mosque in the city of Idlib which led to the killing of the general military official of the Guardians of Religion Organization who was of a Jordanian nationality, and the official in the Jaysh al-Badia Organization who was of Yemeni nationality.
