“Jineoloji”, the first women’s science forum in Kobani

The first discussion forum of the Center for Women Science “Jineoloji” was held today in Euphrates Hall in Kobani, with the participation of dozens of figures in the region.

The forum is the first in Kobani, was attended by more than 100 figures from various political and social boards and administrations, and from political and civil political parties and forces in north and east of Syria.  

North-Press reporter acknowledged that the forum was held under the title “Women’s Science against Social Sexuality”, and was attended by those who are interested in women’s science. 

The Forum also discussed four main themes: “Sexism, Child Marriage, Women Killing, and Solutions for the Three Prior topics”, according to the forum organizers.

Member of the Women’s Science Research Center in Euphrates region, Dejla Khalil said that the forum was the first of its kind in Kobani, adding that, “the discussions and suggestions which emerged from the forum are likely to be established for similar events in Ein Issa, Serrin and Tal Abyad during the upcoming period. 

The Women’s Science Research Center has conducted a series of lectures, meetings and forums in different regions in north and eastern Syria, to study the reality of women in the region, ways to develop them and to improve their future, through the definition of their role.
