Amid abnormal movements invoke concerns and fears in al-Hol camp, the Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said on Monday that the Turkish military operation in northern Syria had left eight camps and 12 prisons for foreign fighters belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS) unguarded.
He pointed out that this could exacerbate the so-called counter-migration of terrorists to their historic homeland.
According to the Russian minister: “There is a need to unite the efforts of the entire international community to meet the challenges, ideology and propaganda of terrorists”.
North-Press reporter said that the situation in al-Hol camp is not good and is not reassuring, and there are abnormal movements invoke concerns and fears as women from time to time gather and attack security forces and the civil administration in the camp.
On October 11, 2019, women gathered in the market trying to open the camp from within, threatening to burn the camp with its residents. In conjunction with the killings, burning and gatherings, smuggling is carried out daily and collectively. In the last three days, 70 women tried to escape from al-Hol camp with their children.
On the 17th of this month, 10 women tried to escape with 12 children. The next day, 14 women and 21 children attempted to escape, two days later, 46 women and 56 children attempted to flee the camp.
Due to the Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria and sending some of the guards of these camps to the front lines, the families of the Islamic State (ISIS) are exploiting this security vacuum in this period to reorganize themselves, indicating that the situation would be disastrous in the camp if the intervention was not at the maximized speed.
There are many families of members of the Islamic State in the camp, if the camp gets out of control, it will be a humanitarian disaster for the international community and all the countries of the world should take responsibility and take serious steps to fight terrorism.
