On Monday morning the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has captured a member of the Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cell during a security operation in the village of Tal Jaabi in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.
The SDF said on its official website that they had conducted previous investigations before capturing the terrorist member.
SDF added that they have seized quantities of light and medium weapons, in addition to explosive devices were in the possession of the sleeper cell member that were equipped to carry out terrorist attacks against civilians in that area.
Earlier, the counter-terrorism forces (HAT) in cooperation with the U.S. special forces had captured four ISIS sleeper cell members in the village of Jamous on the Syrian-Turkish borders within the proposed safe zone, at midnight of last Saturday.
It is noteworthy that several areas in north and east of Syria have recently witnessed bombings by bicycles, vehicles or IEDs, which caused civilian and military casualties, some of these terrorist attacks were adopted by the Islamic State g
