Eight cases of coronavirus in NE Syria – Autonomous Administration

(North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced on Sunday the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in its regions to 8.

 

The official Facebook account of the Autonomous Administration quoted the co-chair of the Health Board, Dr. Jiwan Mustafa’s confirmed that they discovered 2 new cases of coronavirus in northeastern Syria.

 

Dr. Mustafa stated that both of the infected are women, one from the city of Derik, and the other from the city of Hasakah, and both of them are now under medical supervision. 

 

On Thursday, the Health Board announced 4 cases of coronavirus, 3 of which were in Qamishli and the fourth of which was in Hasakah. The Kurdish Red Crescent announced on Saturday that the number of those in contact with the infected reached 88.
