New precautionary measures in Rif-Dimashq towns to combat Coronavirus

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Yabrud Municipal Council closed all education institutions, kindergartens, gyms, cafés, consolation and wedding halls, and swimming pools, fearing the outbreak of coronavirus on Monday after recording several infections per day in Damascus lately.

 

Meanwhile, the council in the north of Damascus banned auditors who did not wear masks and gloves from entering Syrian government departments.

 

The Syrian Health Board warned on Monday of the recklessness which may lead to the outbreak of coronavirus, and stressed the implementation of precautionary measures.

 

The Health Ministry said in a statement that global, regional, and local reported infection are on the rise, and the country recorded 146 infections in June, most of which came in contact with cases from outside Syria.    

 
Later, Syrian government imposed a curfew on the towns of Sayda Zaynab, Ras Maara, Ayn Minin and Jedaydet Fadel in Damascus.
